You may think things have been quiet at the lab, but its been teeming with activity non stop! Soon we will have new products for sale on a brand spankin new website overhaul. Details on new products have already been sent to loyal customers. The rest of you should keep pinging the website within the next few days to find out what we're all excited about. In the mean time, I'll just keep you guessing!

It seems over the past year (wow, a year already?!) that we've received tons of photos and videos from you showcasing your great creational talents using our little lighting systems. We've seen TONS of firetrucks, and other emergency vehicles among the mix of some pretty ingenious MOCs. But where are the star cruisers, the drop ships, or the space stations?

Introducing the "LifeLites in Space" contest. We invite you to build any size, any color, any shape MOC in the theme of "space" that you can possibly dream up. The only rules are:

1. You must include a LifeLites eLite kit in your creation
2. The MOC must be an original creation made by YOU
   
3. You must submit at least 1 photo and 1 short video of your MOC
4. All entries must be received by September 19, 2008 11:59pm GMT-6 (CST)

There will be a panel of 4 judges who will judge entries based on aesthetics, building techniques, and creativity. Winners will be notified via email, so make sure you give us you contact information. Email your entry videos and photos (or links to them) to spacecontest@lifelites.com.

First place winners will receive a LifeLites eLite PF kit.
Second place winners will receive a LifeLites eLite Basic kit.
Third place (and below) winners get laughed at for not winning. Better luck next time, losers!

I've been busy all morning trying to make the Brickmodder Labs online store pricing guidelines easier to understand. Some of you may have noticed some pricing information below some of the creations posted on the Brickmodder site. Those pricing guidelines are there to give you examples of what kind of pricing to expect for similar work. The pricing only includes the actual install price and electrical components. Minifigs or other built items are not included unless otherwise noted. You can contact our quote department for more details.

Brickmodder Labs is happy to announce, through its partnership with Legoton Industries, a co-blogger to the team. Stuart Guarnieri will spill his occasional wit and wisdom for all to hear and appreciate. All hail the mighty Stu-man!

As some of you may have noticed, I took all the custom minifigs out of the store. That doesn't mean they are no longer available. I've just changed they way I handle custom orders so we can more heavily focus on LifeLites products.

Since most of the work I do for custom mods usually entails something that you guys/girls have made, I just prefer that you send in your own creation so i don't have to keep a large supply of parts on hand. If you're not able or comfortable with sending in your creation, you may can catch me at a local convention. Right now we're only focussing on BrickWorld in Chicago, but plan to attend at least one more show in 2009.

So if you have any questions at all or are concerned or confused about the store layout, don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have.
